Racknuckles Conduit Layout Tools
Racknuckles are conduit layout tools built around a CenterLine Value Library for repeatable field layout. The LITE series provides printable files for electricians who want an efficient, practical reference.
The original Racknuckles were shop-made from HDPE with embedded drill guides. The LITE series keeps the core layout function while removing the expensive drill-guide construction, making the tools easier to print, test, use, and share.
Available Files:
Downloadable STL files are organized by conduit size and CenterLine Value. Core LITE files are available here, with additional versions added as they are tested and prepared for release.
Print Notes for Racknuckles
Recommended starting point: 15% infill.
Recommended ironing settings:
Ironing: On
Pattern: Rectilinear
Ironing speed: 60 mm/s
Ironing flow: 30%
Ironing line spacing: 0.15 mm
Ironing inset: 0.21 mm
These settings are provided as a starting point and may be adjusted as testing continues.
Verify printed dimensions before use. Printer settings, filament, print orientation, and slicer behavior can affect final size and durability.
Kick Wedges
Kick Wedges are conduit-bending aids used to help level kicked 90s and back-to-back bends. They are useful for single conduits, but especially useful for conduits that will be placed in racks, where small amounts of roll or misalignment become much more visible across a group.
The design came from a collaborative concept between electricians from IBEW Local 38, then moved through printed testing and field use before being made available more broadly.
The wedge gives you a tiered reference point for leveling the conduit before adding the kick or second 90. It can help improve alignment and make groups of bends look more consistent.
